I'm Luke Stewart, the founder of Savvy Energy Services. I started this company to make renewable energy accessible and understandable for everyone.
My journey into the renewable energy space began during the early days of my apprenticeship. Like many, I was initially skeptical about the effectiveness and practicality of solar power. Fortunately, my boss started taking on projects to install solar systems. It was during these initial installations that I began to grasp the immense potential of harnessing the sun's energy to power homes and businesses. The concept of energy independence and the ability to significantly reduce or even eliminate electricity bills captivated me.
With each solar installation, my interest grew, and I found myself delving deeper into understanding the intricacies of solar technology. The more I learned, the more passionate I became about the possibilities and benefits of renewable energy. It wasn't long before I made the decision to dedicate my career to this field.
In 2013, I took the plunge and started my own electrical contracting business. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of assisting approximately 4000 customers with their energy needs, helping them transition to cleaner, more sustainable energy solutions.
Throughout my journey, I've witnessed firsthand the evolution of the renewable energy industry, particularly in the solar and battery markets of southeast Queensland. I've seen numerous competitors come and go, and I've experienced the highs and lows of policy changes, technological advancements, and shifts in consumer preferences.
